On this occasion of remembering our nation’s independence and freedom, let us also reflect on the great freedoms that we have as Born-Again Christians—We are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Jesus Alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). And let us never allow the grace-robbers and freedom snatchers to steal away our Hope, Confidence and Joy in the Lord.
Listen to these wonderful words of Paul in Galations 5 on our magnificent Freedoms in Christ:
5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

It is ironic that today we celebrate our Independence while half the country is celebrating their dependence upon a questionable government promising even more largess of goodies, extorted from the makers and handed to the takers. So in effect it is Dependence Day for the takers.
But we as Believers in Jesus Christ alone can also celebrate Dependence Day.. Total dependence upon Jesus Christ alone for our Salvation, our Eternal Life.
We must guard this Truth so as not to be snared or taken in by those sneaky grace grabbers (Lordship “salvation” and works “salvation” folks) you mention.
Our once-great country may be “fundamentally transforming” by dishonest leaders but let us be vigilant that the Faith once delivered to the Saints shall not be fundamentally transformed by those who would do damage to the Gospel, the simplicity that is in Christ.
I thank the Lord for you and all of our wonderful friends and commenters who so clearly see the Truth of God’s Free Grace Salvation in Jesus Christ alone. We are truly FREE in Jesus.
