We are thankful for our dear friends, Shirley and “Spell” Spellerberg from whom we have “borrowed” some of the list below, simply because the sentiment could not be better. We have added a few important thoughts.
As we approach Thanksgiving, we are especially thankful for the following (incomplete list of) blessings:
- Our God who provided eternal life to anyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.
- God’s infallible Word, the Holy Bible.
- Bible Believing ministers and missionaries who are faithful to the Word of God in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Our Country, Family and Friends.
- Our Divinely-inspired U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
- Our God-given right to Life, Liberty, and Property, plus the Right to Keep and Bear Arms to protect all three.
- Being born in America, the land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.
- Loving parents who taught right principles and morality.
- Men and women who work to keep America moving.
- Military men and women who are willing to fight and, if necessary, die to keep our America free.
- Fire, Police, and Emergency workers who protect and serve.
- Freedom of association and travel.
- Freedom of dissent.
- Freedom to vote our conscience.
- Good health, and when we don’t have that, good doctors, good nurses and good medical care.
- Home, rest and food to eat.
- Blessings of sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell and others too numerous to list.
Count your blessings on Thanksgiving and every day. Thanksgiving is more than just good eats, good football and fun get-togethers with family and friends. While enjoying the season, remember that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.“ James 1:17
Remember, there are many, in and out of our government, in and out our country who are doing their best to remove these freedoms from us — by force if necessary. Be vigilant and pray for America and her leadership.
We welcome your comments on your blessings.
From us to you and yours, we are thankful for you on Thanksgiving and every day!
Bro David, hello back at ya.
I have found that burdens become blessings when I make a concerted effort to share my Savior more often.
What a blessing to see someone understand the Gospel for the first time!
ExP(Jack)
Amen sisters & brothers in Christ. “The Blessedness of a Burden” is to remake us into Christ’s pure, perfect image. Nothing could be better in the universe. Right now, it is not joyous but grievous, but AFTERWARD………(Heb.12:11). We appreciate your prayers. God Bless you all.
Hello bro. Jack. Thanks again for your ministry.
Tribulation, suffering, loss, disappointments, crushed dreams, all are heavy to bear and feel like a fire at times…but, the fire is meant to burn away our dross, and the crushing is so HE can remake us in HIS Son’s Image.
Character building means imploding the structure that is worn and ugly, then remaking it into a place of strength and refuge.
Pure gold and silver only are because they pass through the fire. May we be thankful that HE takes a personal interest in the process!

Thanks Ms. Green,
Few folks understand that pain can bring blessings from the Lord.
Great thought.
In Christ eternally,

All across the country, people will gather and give thanks. The sad part is, the majority will not look to the One to Whom they should be thankful. I thank God for all that is in my life – the blessings and the pain – to bring me to an expected end…
Psalm 95:1-6 (KJV)
“O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”
Have a blessed Holy Day!
Happy Thanksgiving Jack and Shirley!
May God be praised and may his people be thankful. Excited to see Tom wrote a book!
We are now training 3500 pastors in 48 countries and have 177 schools in our system. Including Iran, Cuba, China, and Vietnam.
Stay faithful!
TMW,
Great news about your neighbors.
Revenge with a higher purpose!
The Lord answers prayers of His Saints!!
In Christ eternally,

I too have a major thanks, in Jan. of this year, my dog and a next door neighbor boy had a meeting. Caleb scraped his arm, we went through the quarentine and all. Then the mother started a lawsuit, for $50,000…my insurance company offered $2,500…the truth finally came out and the lawyer accepted the offer. But in the meantime(I had been praying for an opportunity to share the Gospel)the dad lost his job, the mom was arrested for lewd and lacivious on her own sons and they had to move. In response to their situation, I pray that all of them will be open to the Gospel.
Their salvation is my idea of revenge!;)
PRAISE BE TO G*D, who hears the cries of HIS children! What a blessing that is!

Thanks Chris,
Never heard that quote from Matthew Henry.. That is great.
In a similar circumstance, I would pray that I could have the strength to hand the thief a tract and share with him my Savior Jesus Christ.
And if he should decide to take my life (only because the Lord allowed it) I would instantly be in the presence of my Savior in Heaven.
A win, win situation!
For those who have trusted in Christ as their Savior:
2 Corinthians 5:8
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
In Christ eternally,

Amen and ditto! Sometimes it takes a reminding that with all that goes on, He is in control and is naver taken by surprise or caught off guard and we can have joy even in the midst of hardship. During my men’s group last week we discussed thankfulness and I found this quote interesting. It is from Matthew Henry following the theft of his wallet: “Let me be thankful, first, because he never robbed me before; second, because although he took my purse, he did not take my life; third, because although he took all I possessed, it was not much; and fourth, because it was I who was robbed, not I who robbed. ” Hopefully, I will eventually gain that kind of perspective.
AOW,
Isn’t it great to know the Lord anticipates a believer’s needs — and delivers?
What a Savior we have!
In Christ eternally,
ExP(Jack)
Bro. David.
Burdens can be blessings — but if we look carefully, for a believer burdens can bring many blessings.
In Christ eternally,
ExP(Jack)
Amen!
I especially thank my Lord for all the protection He has provided me, most particularly when, about a month ago, I gave a speech about Islam. Yes, I took a risk. But the Lord provided me security–literally. And I hadn’t even asked for it!
Our God is so wonderful! He anticipates our needs.
Praise the Lord bro. Jack! Even burdens can be blessings for the believer! (Jas.1:2-4). God Bless you this Thanksgiving Season.
Thanks Tom,
It is so easy to forget our blessings we do need constant reminders.
In Christ eternally,
ExP(Jack)
Indeed these are all things for which we should be thankful. In the midst of a busy day it’s too easy to let yourself forget them. Constant reminders, be it a daily devotion or whatever, are vital, I think.
