Israel and Her Land

God’s Land Grant to Abraham/Israel. What exactly is God’s Land Grant promise to Abraham and his seed, Israel.

Many followers of Israel have no idea just where the borders of Israel lie which were granted by God to Abraham and his chosen nation Israel. Below are some scriptures in the Old Testament which delineate these borders exactly.

The dark outlined area describes the Royal Land Grant from God to Israel through Abraham.

Genesis 15:18 “In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:”

Ezekiel 48:1 “How these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; …”

Ezekiel 48:28- 29 “And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea. “

I strongly recommend you read Ezekiel 48:1-29 to understand the division of the land between the tribes of Israel.

When will this happen? By reading prophetic Scripture, it is commonly believed that this will occur at the beginning of the Millennial Reign of Jesus the Messiah over Israel and the nations. Here is the chronology:

  • First: This event is called by Christians “The Rapture” or the taking out of believers from the earth to ever be with the Lord and this happens prior to the beginning of The Great Tribulation. This Divine Delivery is for Jews and Gentiles who died as believers in Jesus the Messiah and likewise for believers who are still living. These “Raptured” ones are those, Jew and Gentile, who have made the decision to trust Jesus the Messiah as their personal Savior. This event can happen at any moment in the blink of an eye.
  • Second: Seven years of great Tribulation on the earth, at the middle of which the person and identity of the Anti-christ will be revealed.
  • Third: At the close of the Great Tribulation, the Nations of the World will gather against Israel in the Final Big Battle of Armageddon, believed to take place in the Valley of Megiddo in Israel. The Messiah returns with His legions and, by the word of His mouth and the brightness of His coming, He destroys the anti-christ and his minions who are the enemies of Israel. This is a final victory for Israel.
  • Fourth: After this victory, Israel as a nation will realize and trust that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus will finalize the Royal Land Grant to the Nation of Israel described in the illustration above and will rule and reign over the nations for One Thousand Years (Millennium) from the Throne of David in Jerusalem (The City of Peace).

So today, what are we to do to prepare?

If you have never done so, make a decision and personal choice to trust Jesus Christ, the Messiah, as your Savior — right now. He is THE Savior for Jew and Gentile alike but until you personally trust Him alone as YOUR Savior, His free gift of salvation will bypass you. Take His Free Gift.

How I trusted Jesus the Messiah as my Savior

  2. DeWayne,

I fear you have never trusted Jesus Christ, the Messiah, as your personal Savior…

  3. A misgotten animated-graphic besides this posting-text box reads “Never Forget.”
Never forget WHAT? That which you never knew or were told in error?

Would it surprise you to learn that of the 14-15 “Islamofascistterrorists” that flew airplanes into the WTC-buildings, that Seven or Eight of these (reported) Terrorist’s are STILL ALIVE, and believe American citizens although good CAN be mistaken.

God help the uninformed and misinformed of America, especially those that call themselves Christian.

  4. As a Christian that tests every spirit and word against Gods word, please validate my following comments, not against your own understanding, but against Gods word the Bible.
First concerning the allotment of land as God so decreed, seldom if ever do scholars or theologians and most often pastor’s include the previous conditions of God told in Ezek 47:21-23 regarding aliens also being alotted lands.
Next is omitted Gods warning about changing this allotment as boundry markers told in Duet 9:14. Nor the warning by God about mistreating those living among them told in Lev. 19:33-34.
No mention is made that Israel the people are today yet called the scattered rebellious by God, or that the scattered for 2000-years (70AD-1948) did not in that time ever think of re-establishing Israel, believing as taught in the Torah only the Messiah when He came would gather the scattered into the wilderness of the nations where the rebel that revolt are purged out from the people (never to enter Israel) in Ezek 20:34-38. It being after the purge that a ‘remnant’ elect are brought into (new) Covenant and back into (new) Israel (where now the New Jerusalem is found).
The Millennium is a Latin word for Chillioi (Greek) meaning ‘Uncertain Afinity’ in Strongs Concordance, and in Rev 20:1-15 encompasses events ending in Final Judgment, the Millennium then this earth age ending at the Return of Christ.
Last as Isiah 65:17-19 makes clear, God will ‘create’ a new heaven and earth, the ‘creation’ of the New Jerusalem comes down out (or is revealed) of heaven.
Today most theologians expect the Return of the Lord, that the Day of the Lord in final judgement is imminent. Yet some say after final judgment there is a short (1000 years) of saints reigning over (other people)? This contradicts entirely the teaching of our Lord about not being as Gentile Rulers, but as servents as He that came not to rule or be served, but to serve, and we (must) do as He has done.
I have studied and researched the predominant secular Zionist-government and State of Israel, and find them seriously wanting except in the preformance of evil. Aparthied being perhaps the least of their evil.
Today in the American Christian church that I know, there is more false teaching than teaching of truth. More people are being led astray in the Christian church than by the secular world. It is time for complete repentance within the churches of America.

  6. Tom,

As I said in my post, I see the proper division of Israel’s land coming after Armageddon.

As you say, “current political realities” as they are.. we must just pray that all these conflicts and testings will bring buffers for security and bring Israel closer to acceptance of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

  7. I’ve seen this map of Israel based on the scriptures you cite. Our pastor used it one Sunday some time ago. And I believe that yes, God did grant this land to Israel.

Current political realities as they are, Israel is not going to occupy all this land. I’d be happy if she could find peace in her original 1948 borders. As it is, though, threats to her existance will force her to seek and obtain buffer zones, some in the “West Bank”, some in Lebanon.

  8. I’m going to have to add you to my blogroll. I’m studying to be a preacher at Bethany Bible College in New Brunswick Canada.
