How Then Shall I Vote

On occasion some folks who do not know me well or may not be aware of my background may ask for whom will I vote in the 2012 Presidential election on Tuesday. I am a Citizen of Heaven by my belief that by Grace alone through Faith alone in Jesus Christ alone I have trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior.  Thereby I an an Eternal Citizen of Heaven. However, I am not an illegal alien here in the USA, but a patriotic citizen of America and as such I will explain why I vote the way I do.

For our many International visitors, this article will apply to our friends in the United States of America, But, read on, you may still find this post interesting.

This will be a slight departure from our normal Faith postings but I feel that this year, the election will either completely destroy our Constitutional Republic or we will be given another chance to insist that things of Government be done right for our country according to our Constitution.

We have a choice this year between two men with diametrically opposing views of Government. One, the current President, Barack Hussein Obama is an advocate of “revenge” politics, same sex marriage, abortion — including late term, a “win at any price” political philosophy, one who advocates a Marxist/Socialist form of government, is anti-Israel and a purveyor of “Government of the President” rather than Government of the People policies. He has a four year record of abusing our God-inspired Constitution, minimizing our religious freedoms and advocating for rules and regulations that have and will stifle our economy, threaten our freedoms and our Free Enterprise way of life.

The other, Mitt Romney, is a moral man, an advocate for smaller national government, he is pro-Israel, pro life, for religious freedoms and more free enterprise to help solve our failing system.

Remember:

NOT voting is, in effect, a vote for the current President.

Some say they will vote for the Libertarian candidate. Voting for him, who advocates legalization of addictive recreational drugs, legalized prostitution, same sex marriage, etc is, in effect, a vote for the current President.

We know that neither candidate is a Bible believing Christian but we are not electing a pastor in chief but a Commander in Chief, a President. We should vote for a candidate who will not stifle our Faith beliefs but allow us the freedom to see them expand and flourish.

We know if we reelect the present officeholder it will be four more years of the same policies but worse. There will be no restraints on Executive Orders (laws ignoring Congressional approval) that take away our freedoms, more oppressive government. We will experience a disaster in the U.S. A. that has never even been imagined.

It has been said that our Constitutional Republic may be able to survive another four years of this President. But how can it survive when a majority of the citizens vote for this kind of deliberately deadly leadership?

We also know that the Lord puts up and takes down rulers. Also we see in many Biblical examples, He often does so with the aid of His people.

Can Calvinism Be Proven By A Few Partial, Out-of-Context Verses?

Lauren sent to me several partial Bible verses for explanation. She felt her selections, “make some of the strongest arguments for Calvinism.” In a later note she commented, “I would say I am not sure what I believe right now. I used to hold strongly to the reformed or Calvinist view and still think there is a lot in scripture to support it.”

I pray we will be able to present God’s Word convincingly and understandably to Lauren so she can rest in the Security and Peace of Salvation by her personal decision to put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone as her Savior and not depend upon the amorphous “promises” of Reformed/Calvinist teaching.

We must be aware that Bible verses may be chopped up and taken out of context to prove just about any “religious” point.

Here are the partial, non-contextual verses Lauren submitted for explanation. Thank you Lauren:

Heb 12:2 in part, “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,”

Romans 9:16, “So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.”

Romans 9:18, “Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.”

John 5:21 in part “No one can come to Me unless the Father draws (drags) him.”, “even so the Son gives life to whom He will.”

John 15:16 in part, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you…”

John 3:3 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again (from above) he cannot see the kingdom of God”

The complete verses with detailed contextual explanations from Dr. Cucuzza are:

1.
John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

The word “draw” is never translated as drag in the KJV. It can mean that, but she is insinuating that God does it and accomplishes salvation regardless of man’s will. That is nowhere in the text.

a. How is a person drawn? V.45 gives the clear answer: We are drawn through the ministry of the Word of God. And this is available for all mankind, not just a select few.

John 6:45 “It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

b. We are also drawn by the Holy Spirit, but He draws everyone.

John 16:8 “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”

c. Also, through the death of Christ we are drawn.

John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

John 5:21 “For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.”

This verse is answered in v.24. He gives life to all those who believe.

John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.“

3.
Romans 9:14 “What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.”

Romans 9-11 is talking about the national election of the Jews for God’s purpose in the world, not personal election to salvation.

In Romans 9:14-16 The Lord didn’t have to show mercy to anyone. But He will accomplish His plan for the ages by showing grace to mankind. Israel is still in existence today because the Lord did not wipe them out in the days of Moses.
Romans 9:17 “For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?”

vs. 17-21 Pharaoh, the leader of Egypt,  already had a wicked attitude toward the children of Israel in the early chapters of Exodus. He did not want to let them go, for he wanted them as slaves for his own glory. The Lord knew (foreknowledge) in eternity past that Pharaoh would be the way he was and therefore used him to show the world the power of Jehovah God, the LORD. It had nothing to do with God making it impossible for Pharaoh to be saved and go to Heaven.

The Bible does say in Exodus that the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, but it also says that Pharaoh hardened his own heart. Which is true? Both! The Lord’s will and plan for Israel was the factor that hardened Pharaoh’s heart. God hardened Pharaoh’s heart by continually testing him. The Lord knew (foreknowledge) that Pharaoh would not change his mind about the Israelites, and therefore used him to accomplish the Divine purpose. Not one verse in the Bible says that Pharaoh couldn’t believe in the Messiah. He chose to reject the God of Moses.

4.
John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

He was speaking to His disciples (already saved people) about their discipleship and service, not salvation. That you should go and bring forth fruit. It was their choice on whether they would obey Him in this regard or not. This verse has nothing to do with salvation, but with the purpose of the Christian life.

 5.
John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

This refers of course to the new birth. If we simply read further down to v. 14-18 we see HOW a person is born again- by trusting Christ alone as Savior. And this is open to the world, v.16-17.

John 3:14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

6.
Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Again, v.2 cannot be divorced from v.1

Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

I cannot see anywhere the Calvinistic bent or interpretation in v.2. What is the point? Yes, He is the captain and prince, and author if you will, of our faith. But it means He is the head, the leader. We are looking unto Him to lead us through the entire Christian life.

We also pray Lauren and others will decide to believe the Truth that salvation is free and only available through an individual’s choice to believe by Grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

We must never depend upon the false Calvinist teaching that some are “elect” by God to be saved and consequently ALL others, (me, you, our friends and relatives) have no choice or chance to make that decision to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation.

We, who are dedicated Free Grace believers in Jesus Christ, often look aside and ignore things which, either now or later, will impact the free practice of our faith. This applies to America and other free nations around the world.  We may not pay much attention to things happening in our country and neighborhood as Liberalism and false Eastern religions gain footholds and encroach upon our freedoms.

This post will be a compendium of RSS feed articles which, by my request, arrive on my computer periodically and accumulated over the period of several days. All authors to the best of my knowledge are apparently secular, so don’t expect any solid Bible doctrine on their web sites and when they mention “Christian” they could mean just about anything.. One of the authors with whom I have occasionally communicated is Pam Geller, a wonderful Jewish young lady who loves America, Christians and Israel. She is an unequaled expert on the encroachment of Islam and its inevitable and relentless push for Islamic Sharia Law over Constitutional Law in America..

These are merely headlines with short summaries which you may scan, or read in depth. Some of these reports detail things happening in the USA and others from places across the world… Should we expect similar oppression soon in our own neighborhood?

Many of the “hits” on ExPreacherMan come from Muslim countries or countries with large Muslim populations. I am of the firm belief that Islamists and Muslims are just as loved by God of the Universe as are you and me — and Jesus Christ died for them just as He did for me (John 3:16). The Pope and Obama? Why Has President Obama Not Condemned the “Occupiers”? Maybe There is a Reason!

This post is not in line with our usual Faith postings — but it will reveal something of which we believers in Jesus Christ should be aware. It involves The Pope of Rome, President Obama and the “Occupiers of Wall Street.”

Maybe you, like I, have wondered why President Barack Hussein Obama has not condemned the theft, violence, sloth, immorality, degradation, wickedness, drug use, blockage of businesses, etc by the “Occupiers of Wall Street.” (OWS)

Many high profile Hollywoodites and prominent left-leaning politicians have vocally and physically supported the movement with their presence and money. President Barack Obama sympathized with the occupiers saying they are “giving voice to a more broad-based frustration about how our financial system works.” [ABC News] (This is just a bit odd since our President milks the Wall Street financial system, banks and people for every dollar he can squeeze.)

Many believers in Jesus Christ are fully aware that in the last days before the Tribulation on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ will come to take His believers back to Heaven with Him (called by most, The Rapture). We also know that things on earth will become much worse preceding that event. We see countries going bankrupt, riots all over the world, especially in the most unlikely place of all, our own United States of America. We see nations demanding a one-world government. Israel is in mortal danger from its Islamic neighbors (and virtually abandoned by the USA). More and more churches demand an ecumenical “just-get-along” One World Religion. All of this fits President Obama’s ultimate plan for “unity” with the world’s nations and leaders. Maybe a Euro-World?

Now we see official proclamations from the Catholic Pope in the Vatican, pushing for a One World authority and World Bank, asking for “global wealth redistribution” all for “the common good.” This and many other world events point more directly to the fact that we are indeed in the last days before Christ’s return.

As we read this we begin to realize that our mission is all the more urgent — to win the lost to our Savior Jesus Christ.

Question: Why have neither our President nor the Pope condemned the domestic terrorism of the OWS hoodlums? Answer: Because both have voiced support for the basic principles of the OWS cause.

Excerpts from FrontPage Magazine:

On [October 24, 2011], the Vatican called for creation of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to regulate the world’s financial institutions. As Reuters reported, “The document from the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department should please the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn.”

The Vatican got very specific in its recommendations. It condemned the “idolatry of the market” and called for global wealth redistribution, asking nations of the world to participate in an “ethic of solidarity.” In a passage that could have been ripped from Marx, the Vatican stated, “If no solutions are found to the various problems of injustice, the negative effects that will follow on the social, political and economic level will be destined to create a climate of growing hostility and even violence, and ultimately undermine the very foundation of democratic institutions, even the ones considered most solid.” [in Liberal New-Speak this is a call to action and violence for the Occupiers. JW]

This is wrongheaded in the extreme. By impoverishing the middle and upper class in order to press for greater “fairness,” the socialism implicitly supported by this document pushes a utopia of equality in poverty.

So why is the Vatican so gung ho for a global reserve currency? Skeptics would say that the Vatican opposes the U.S.’s control over the global economy. The Vatican under Pope Benedict XVI has routinely gone out of its way to criticize capitalism as unfair and problematic–in 2009, for example, the Pope issued an encyclical calling for a “profoundly new way” of organizing business, suggesting that a global political authority be established to push for “the common good.” This is well within the tradition of modern Popes, who have almost universally endorsed the notion of a super-national government. This is understandable given the universalist mission of the Catholic Church.

Side Trip Into Christian Awareness

Today I am taking a little side trip from concentrating on Bible Doctrine into the realm of Christian awareness and warnings of what we may expect in the future.

We wonder “Why” on several news items!

Obama’s State Department sends condolences and apologies to the Khan family for killing their son, American citizen Samir Khan, publisher of “Inspire” magazine the radical terrorist media arm of American Anwar Al Alwaki’s Yemeni Islamic Terrorist network. This is virtually unknown to the Mainstream Media. Samir Khan and Alwaki were killed by a drone rocket attack while they traveled together in Yemen. One wonders why Kahn, Alwaki and Osama Bin Laden were killed instead of being captured and interrogated. Suppose they knew more than we do about some of our politicians? Just wondering.

And then we see Michelle Malkin report on a Christian Pastor, Youcef Nadarkhani, father of two sons and a convert from Islam to Christianity, being convicted of renouncing Islam and sentenced by the Iranian Supreme Court to be hanged. He refuses to deny his Christian faith. It is appalling that we see Iran, a contributing member in good standing of the corrupt United Nations, condemning and murdering a Christian for his faith. Beware Americans, Islam is coming to a neighborhood near you.. and is being welcomed by Liberal churches in the name of what they call “Chrislam.“

And we see the Coptic Catholics in Egypt (formerly protected by the government) now having their churches burned and members killed and mutilated. The terrorist Muslim Brotherhood, at one time praised by President Obama, taking the lead in installing an Islamic terrorist Sharia government in Egypt. A friend of mine spent years evangelizing those Coptics in Cairo. We should be praying for the safety of those who trusted Christ as their Savior and that more Egyptians will believe in Christ as their Savior.

Weird. Reformed Calvinist Pastor praises Leftist billionaire and Zen Buddhist Steve Jobs for his contribution to Christianity through Apple innovations. And why does Rush praise Liberal Steve Jobs for his products when Jobs send millions of jobs to China where Apple products are made. Ironically, Jobs and his partner Steve Wozniac “stole” the Apple Graphical User Interface (GUI) from Xerox at their PARC facilities.

One wonders why the Wall Street Occupiers (unregenerate kids of the 60s hippies) have been so highly praised by Obama, leftist politicians and the media, especially when evidence is that Leftist George Soros’ money, labor union leaders and various Communist and Marxist organizations are the backers. We see Marxist Michael Moore there making a documentary of his dream come true. One might wonder who is feeding and paying these hundreds of people, claiming poverty while organizing their groups with high priced cell phones and playing their expensive tom-toms and guitars. Have we seen any of the mega churches in the New York area sharing salvation in Jesus Christ through street evangelism, telling them the Truth of Jesus Christ? Those kids are searching for “something” and need Jesus Christ.

This is a very interesting take on the up-coming September 20th UN resolution for Palestinian statehood.

Ye’or asks. “Given the immense territories conquered and Islamized over thirteen centuries of expansion and war,” she writes, “why would Muslim countries keep plotting to destroy Israel?” And further: “Why does the immense oil wealth of Muslim nations nourish a flood of hatred that poisons the heart of humanity against such a small nation? Why is Israel considered so alarming?”

Rather than believing all the propaganda about Palestinian’s desire for a nation of their own, their rights in the area, etc, Bat Ye’or’s new book rejects those liberal regurgitations and platitudes, by emphatically stating the Global Muslim Jihad wants “[w]hat Israel possesses,” Ye’or explains, “… the Bible.”

This is a fascinating article from which I have grabbed excerpts. Ye’or explains that history recorded in the Bible contradicts and overshadows Muslim Jihadists Koran, therefore the goal of Global Jihad is to destroy all vestiges and history of the Land of the Bible and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Obama Blacklists Israel as “Terrorist Sponsor”

For Bible believing Christians, this latest blast from the Obama Administration should make us redouble our efforts to share Salvation in Jesus Christ alone. We see new indications of the End Times, a period when Israel will be betrayed, surrounded and attacked.  Some have asked me why is America not mentioned in the Bible End Time prophesy. Regretfully, I have always presumed that our beloved America will be one of the multitude of nations coming against Israel in the last days. This latest declaration may be a further indication that the present Obama administration is out to destroy Israel.

Israelis coming into America get the same high level of scrutiny that Iranians do!

That Obama has tried to maintain that there is a moral equilibrium between Israel and the aggressive Arabs that surround it is well known. But to list Israel as a promoter, protector, or producer of terrorism is quite extraordinary.

Doubtless some politically correct soul at ICE or in the State Department felt that the U.S. needed to show impartiality in making up its list and include non-Muslim countries. What better rebuttal to those who would claim that the ICE is profiling Muslims than to say that Israel is also on the list?

But Israel’s inclusion on the list, to say nothing of the indignity inflicted on its citizens as they seek to enter the United States, is an insult and must be corrected at once!

Discernment Ministries Gone Wrong

I am usually the optimist, yet somewhat suspicious and skeptical at times.

It pleases me to find many friends commenting on our posts who are fellow discerning believers in Jesus Christ. We thank the Lord for you.

There are times when we find links to some great clear Grace Blogs and Conservative web sites.

Some web sites we independently investigate claim the “Grace” title, and yet upon close examination they turn out to be either “Calvinist grace” or Lordship faith blogs like John MacArthur’s – Grace to You.”) While I admit Mac is an avid opponent of the terrible ecumenical Manhattan Declaration, New Mysticism, Yoga and Contemplative Spirituality, etc, he still promotes his theory of “lordship or commitment faith” for salvation.

And then we see many Discernment Ministries, which I have recommended on this Blog, promote some bad doctrinal errors.

Apprising Ministries, Ken Silva: Advertises MacArthur’s Web site, Grace to You as well as Alpha and Omega Ministries, an extreme Calvinist web site, plus many more.

The Berean Call, A great resource for sound Biblical Doctrine yet – they frequently and favorably quote John MacArthur. I sent a note and questioned Dave Hunt “Why??” Tom McMahon gave the answer as — MacArthur frequently has great thoughts that should be repeated (and credited to Mac?).  Hmmmmm. That is rubbing shoulders with and promoting an enemy of the Gospel of God’s Grace.

Lighthouse Trails Research, Another excellent resource on the wrongs of New Age, Contemplative Spirituality, etc, yet they frequently and favorably quote MacArthur, either purposely ignoring or oblivious to Mac’s Lordship/Commitment “salvation” message.

Ingrid Schleuter - While great on the Emergent Church, Warren’s Purpose Drivel, New Age, etc she strongly promotes Calvinistic and or lordship teachers, such as MacArthur, Paul Washer, John Piper, Ray Comfort, etc.

These are just a few examples that really disappoint me and it hurts that there are many more.

I am at a loss for a solution except that we who are discerning believers in Jesus Christ must be Bereans and search the Scriptures daily, “whether those things were so.”

“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These (Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10-11

Nazi Loughner vs Jewish Con. Giffords?

A reason behind the attempted assassination of Jewish Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords seems to go completely over the heads of Liberal  Pundits as they search to find a motive behind “crazed” killer Jared Loughner. We can speculate that if his reading list included Limbaugh, Hannity or Beck, the professional Left would hastily find justification to assign  his political leanings as being “extreme right.” But obviously the main stream media have determined to disconnect Loughner’s philosophy completely from his history. His own record shows he was a devotee of  NAZI (National SOCIALIST Party) writings, Mein Kamph, by Adolph Hitler the greatest Jew hater and murderer known to modern man (prior to Ahmadinejad). Additionally, Loughner’s other favorite book was Karl Marx, a man considered by many to equal Hitler’s hatred for the Jews.

So is Loughner just another Jew-hating Nazi who was simply following through with a Nazi/Marxist formula to eliminate and cleanse the world of the Jewish Race – one Jew at a time (Congresswoman Gabby Giffords)?

We who love Israel and the Jews should be well aware of the motive and methods of such killers as Loughner who love Hitler and Marx. We should also be aware that the Liberal Media will never assign motive to someone with whom they seem to have emotional kinship and links.

A Real Christmas 2010

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Prophecy from the The Old Testament. Isaiah 9:6

“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” Prophecy from The Old Testament,  Micah 5:2

“ And the angel said unto them [the shepherds],  Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David [Bethlehem Ephratah] a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Fulfillment of those prophecies, 600 years later from The New Testament, Luke 2:10, 11

Thus was fulfilled prophecy of The Savior, Jesus Christ, who came to pay the death penalty for the sins of the world (everyone), He was buried, rose from the grave and is alive today.

Christ’s salvation is to “whosoever believeth” in Him alone for their salvation (John 3:16). Pray for us that we will have continuing opportunities to share this Good News.

We pray you will have a blessed Christmas season remembering and celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Rejoice with us this coming year in God’s gift of eternal life which is available to anyone who chooses to place their trust (belief) in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Remember Pearl Harbor, Day of Infamy. December 7

On December 7, 1941, I was 12 years old . This Day marks the anniversary of the viscious Japanese attack on the U.S. naval base in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941. I remember the event like it was yesterday. Likewise I remember the decisive Victory over Japan and Germany. “Victory” is a word that seems to be missing from our American political vocabulary. In spite of almost 300,000 Americans killed in World War II, 2400 of which were killed that day at Pearl Harbor, you will probably hear very little about it from our President or our media on Tuesday, December 7th.

Tuesday, December 7 marks the 69th anniversary of the Japanese attack on the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor.

The surprise attack preceded a declaration of war. The Japanese sank or severely damaged 18 ships – including 8 battleships. Additionally, 1161 planes were destroyed on the ground.

The death toll exceeded 2,400, with more than 1,000 wounded.

A Catholic synod called at the Vatican to address the rising persecution of Christian in the Middle East wrapped up on Saturday with a joint statement that focused a lot of attention on demanding Israel end its “occupation” of Arab lands.

The gathering was meant to address the various acts of persecution, intimidation and discrimination that are resulting in a severe dwindling of Christian communities across the region.

But the bulk of the two-week meeting was spent discussing how Israel is the root cause of all the Middle East’s woes, including those faced by its Christians.

The final statement reflected that position. It listed the “occupation” of Arab lands, the building of Israel’s security barrier, military checkpoints, the jailing of terrorists (defined in the statement as “political prisoners”) and the general disruption of Palestinian life as some of the main reasons behind the exodus of Palestinian Christians and Muslim attacks on the Jewish state.

Cyril Salim Bustros, the Lebanon-born Greek archbishop of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Boston, Massachusetts was responsible for delivering the final statement.

In clarifying remarks, he stated that “the Holy Scriptures cannot be used to justify the return of Jews to Israel and the displacement of the Palestinians, to justify the occupation by Israel of Palestinian lands.”

He then escalated the situation by declaring that the original promises made by God to the children of Israel “were nullified by Christ. There is no longer a chosen people.”

Bustros rejected the idea of Israel as “the Jewish state,” and insisted that eventually all the so-called “Palestinian refugees” must return to the land, a sure recipe for the demographic destruction of the world’s only Jewish nation-state.

Mordechai Levi, Israel’s ambassador to the Vatican, decried Bustros’ comments and the damage they had done to strengthening ties between Israel and the Church.

The Catholic Church has for years been trying to repair its image as an institution steeped in anti-Semitism. Will Obama Force Israel to Dispose of Her Nukes?

Many Bible believing Christians wonder “Where will America be when all nations come against Israel in The Last Days.” The Bible does not specifically answer that question but this article may well give an answer.

Obama Wants to Take Israel’s Nukes, According to Reports.

US President Barack Obama is working closely with Russia and Egypt on an effort to rid Israel of its supposed nuclear weapons arsenal, according to several mainstream media reports this week.

Most prominently, the Wall Street Journal reported that Obama is keen to adopt an Egyptian proposal to declare the Middle East a nuclear-free zone. A follow-up regional conference would put heavy pressure on all nations to comply.

Being the only country in the Middle East believed to possess nuclear weapons, Israel would be the clear target of such a move. Washington is suggesting that by pressuring Israel to give up its nukes, it has a much better chance to convince Iran to halt its defiant nuclear program.

That angle has become a major topic of discussion at the current Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference taking place at UN headquarters in New York. Arab and Muslim nations have enthusiastically joined and pushed the discussion on Israel’s nuclear program in an effort to divert attention from Iran.

Former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton warned that Obama was playing right into the Muslims’ hands, and threatening Israel’s long-term security.

“The president is not happy with Israel’s nuclear capabilities. I think he would be delighted if Israel gave up its nuclear weapons,” Bolton told Israel’s Army Radio. “The only unknown answer at this point is exactly how much pressure he would exert on Israel to do just that. Part of that pressure is being exerted right now by even considering the possibility of a conference on a nuclear-weapons-free Middle East.”

Israel has never confirmed nor denied that it has nuclear weapons, though most believe the Jewish state to be in possession of at least a couple hundred warheads. Those weapons, if they exist, are the primary deterrent against yet another region-wide Arab attempt to overrun and destroy Israel. Prior to Israel’s nuclear program, its Arab neighbors launched three full-scale wars aimed at annihilating the Jewish state.

A former Muslim, Mosab Hassan Yousef has trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was a guest on Hannity… He expressed his knowledge of Hamas, the Koran and why Islam wants to kill all Jews. He confirms that there are no moderate Muslims if they believe their Koran.

Mosab is the son of a jailed Hamas terrorist leader and MP, Sheikh Hassan Yousef, the most popular figure in that extremist Islamic organization.

A What? A Savior???

When Jesus the Christ was born to Mary, the Angel of the Lord announced to the frightened shepherds in the fields:

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10 – 11

This Bible verse is filled with the Lord’s great promises and truths.

  • “good tidings [good news] of great joy”

What the Angel told the lowly shepherds was GOOD NEWS. It portended great joy! The word “Gospel” means “good news.”

  • “which shall be to ALL people”

This good news was for ALL people.. Not just the Jews, not just a chosen few – but to ALL people.

  • “a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord”

This Person who was born into the world is the Saviour – the Christ [the anointed Messiah] the Lord [the Supreme Authority], the Messiah who had been prophesied and for Whom all Israel was looking.

Please notice Jesus was not described here as a Great Leader [even though He is], not as our Example [even though He is], He is not a probation officer nor a law giver nor enforcer – but He is described as the SAVIOR, the One who saves.

Because of God’s absolute perfection is in direct opposition to our sin, we are at irreconcilable odds with God. The result of sin is spiritual death (separation from God). Thus we are all guilty and need the Savior — if we ever expect to go to Heaven — to have eternal life – to be with the Lord eternally. Jesus Christ is the only One who can reconcile us to God the Father.

Jesus is the Son of God in the flesh, the only Savior, who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose from the grave and is alive today proving Himself to be Whom He claimed, the Infallible, reconciling Savior.

Some erroneously believe that Mary, the mother of Jesus, is infallible. No, she is not at all – because the Bible says she, just like anyone else, needed a Savior, having been told by the Angel :

“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest [Supreme God]: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.” Luke 1:31-33

“… Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” Luke 1:46-47

Rejoice with us in this season when we celebrate the time when God Himself, Jesus the Savior visited our earth, died for us on the cross, was buried and rose from the dead. Jesus himself pleads with everyone — as we see in the most well known verse in the Bible:

Jesus says:

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth [trusts] in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Please put your eternity in trust with Jesus Christ, the Savior, the Only Trustworthy One. Believe in Him alone as your Savior.

WHAT A SAVIOR!!!

Danger Within — Obama’s White House

Having been actively Conservative since the late 50s, I have fought since then to awaken folks to the horrors of Communism/Socialism.

The majority of Americans these days do not understand the insidious nature of this political/”religious” system. Our children and grandchildren have not been taught.

I tried to warn when the Berlin Wall fell, “Communism is not dead!”

Obama has had Socialists and Marxists advising him since his early days.

Here is a video of David Horowitz, a former Card Carrying Communist Radical — who now sees the horrors of that system. Glenn Beck interviews him with a shocking truth that I recognize as truth from my earliest years of  opposition to the Socialist, Communist insanity.

Our Republic and our faith is in grave danger from the “Enemy Within,” Communism, Socialism Marxism, Progressiveism, etc.

Be aware — Teach yourself and your children about this diabolical, anti-Christian movement — bubbling over, even in our very own White House..

Communism is on our doorstep and folks are more worried about the soccer game or their latte than the Obama Revolution happening in Washington.

Rick Warren Speaks to Islam Muslims – No Gospel

Rick Warren, who some call “Pastor To The World” showed his true colors when he spoke to 8000 Islamic faithful in Washington DC on July 4th 2009.

He said:

“Muslims and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions,”

Mr Warren knows not that speaking before 8000 Muslims without sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ IS COMPROMISING!!

He added:
“Talk is cheap … but love is something we do together,” he added. “As the two largest faiths on this planet – more than 1 billion Muslims and 2 billion Christians – as Muslims and Christians, we must believe in this. As more than half the world, we must do something to model what it is to live in peace, to live in harmony.”

Is Warren not aware that “peace” to an Islamist is complete subjugation of infidels — those who do not believe Islam — to a Worldwide Islamic Caliphate?

Warren is fulfilling prophecies in  the Bible which speak of the end time — universal One World Religion and cooperation between all religions.

Jesus Christ will save all Muslims who trust Christ as their Savior… and Warren deliberately missed that chance to share that Good News.

Rick Warren, in his effort to be Ecumenical Pastor of the World, will be speaking to the Islamic Society of North America at their conference in Washington DC. on July 4, 2009, American Independence Day.

Do you suppose he will share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and ask these Muslims to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior? Don’t hold your breath.

Dare I say that Rick is interested in Rick and the subversive power he can exert in the world. Will he pray in the name of Isa, the Muslim “Jesus” as he did in the inaugural prayer for Barack Hussein Obama?
